Phobias


 

A phobia is a persistent, extreme or irrational fear of something. It is an anxiety disorder. The causes for a phobia can be genetic or environmental. Here is the list of some common phobias:

Hydrophobia: the fear of water

Hemophobia: the fear of blood

Pyrophobia: the fear of fire

Acrophobia: the fear of heights

Ergophobia: the fear of work

Ablutophobia: the fear of bathing or washing

Trypanophobia: the fear of injections
